Coming Up This Summer: Beach, Business & the Bizarre

Three things on the VALLEYPAA calendar this summer — a beach day with the LA County fellowship, our monthly business meeting, and the weirdest little bazaar in the Valley. Here's what's coming up.

Summer's in full swing and so are we. Here's what's on the VALLEYPAA calendar — grab a friend and come hang.

Beach Day — Saturday, August 1, 1:00 pm at the Dockweiler Beach Fire Pits in Playa del Rey. LACYPAA presents and we're proud to co-host alongside young people committees from across LA County. There's a speaker meeting (time TBD) by the fire, a $10 donation at the door, and we've got you covered on hot dogs, water, energy drinks, and s'mores. Fun, fellowship, and recovery by the beach.

Business Meeting — the second Saturday of every month, 2:00 pm at Hole in the Sky, 21520 Sherman Way, Canoga Park. This is where it all gets planned: we check in on our commitments, line up upcoming events, and hand out service opportunities. Newcomers always welcome — it's the easiest way to get involved.

Bizarre Bazaar — Saturday, August 29, 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Location's still TBD, so save the date. It's our strangest fundraiser yet: things open with a meeting at 4, then the bazaar takes over with a thrift and vintage market, carnival games, a pong tournament, food and drinks for sale, and a full spread of oddities, curiosities, and fortunes. Bring cash and a curious mind.
